Gum wall

So a little fun fact for you about my self, I like anything that is close to being different or not liked or seen much. Well ever sence I have heard and seen pictures about the gum wall in Seattle Washintion I fell head over heals.  Its kinda gross, but I think that is why I like it.  That and because you can make art with a piece of tiny gum....Oh and its colorful! wink*

So finally after gawing over Seattles gum wall, I decided to make my own.  I thought why not. My family chews gum like no other so we should fill it up really fast.  Half of these are my little sister's, she is quite fond of gum. Instead of asking for candy or icecream she always asks for gum. And she never descrimanates. I took these about three days ago and it has way more. I really excited to see how far this goes. If I make more then one or if stops?
Do you have anything that you have that is weird?  Would you ever create a gum wall?  Do you have one?

D.I.Y: Potting plant necklace

Happy Tuesday! I hope you are having a most terrifically wonderful week.  Well time has flew by once again! I was look I my calender and realized on sunday it is Mother's day. I flipped because I hadn't got my mom anything.  So I wanted to make her something. I have been seeing terrariums and itty bitty pot necklaces, so I thought to my self "Meagan your mother would love this." But due to the short of time and how my mom loves handmade gits, I thought to make her one.

pot necklace pot1
What you need for the pot: Carmex bottle (or any small bottle), acrylic paints, paint brush, wire, and wire cutters and sand paper
pot2
1.I still had a bit of carmex, just clean it out really good, also clean the outside too.
pot3
2. Before you paint the bottle, sand it down a bit so that the paint stays. I forgot to do it on this one and it began to pill in the pictures.pot4
3. Paint all around. But not inside. pot5
4. wrap the wire as many times as you fill it is secure. Leave about 1 inch to make a loop. pot6
6. make your loop. Don't make it to small, you need your chain to fit.  plant1
You are done with the pot part now on to the plant part!
You will need: little pebbles, soil, and small succulents plant2
1. Place small pebbles at the bottom.  This is for draining, since it doesn't have holes at the bottom. plant3
2. Add soil. Don't fill up yet. o that way you can place plant deep inside.
plant4
3. Get your plant
plant5
4. Place you place so that you roots are at the bottom so it doesn't fall out.  Add a chain and your good.plant necklace
Now you have a wonderful gift for mom, or yourself. Its a good spring/summer necklace. Have fun making this:)

Change is good!

I am super excited for may! I have so much going on, which is fun but hard when you are trying to make it a habit to be productive.   I read a quote a while back, and it scared me half to death.  I said  "What you do today is important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it." I thought it was so amazing and it got me think, Why I constantly waiting for things to fall in to my lap. If I want it I need to jump up and fight for it. Since I have never been the type to plane ahead or even think ahead I go tired of always being unhappy with myself, so this week I made so may calenders.  I made one for blogging, school work, chores and goals.

My goals are kinda basic, but there things that I lose sight of so much. So I decided to write it out and frame it!I am super stocked with what I have been changing just in the first week on may.

I have always wanted to dye my hair purple or just one sold color but kept lagging and thing one day I would just wake up with a different hair color.  So with the change that I had been wanting I woke up and said "Okay today is the day. I will not allow myself to put things off anymore." It is so weird how one little stand in anything can lead to a big impact.  I love the fact that when you not satisfied, God can use that to snow ball so many other things!

Are there anything in your life you are taking a stand for or changing?
