Happy Monday!
June was awesome in the art journaling department. I like i'm getting better at expressing myself and do it more often. These are some of my favorite i did in June.

Bug jewelry

About a year ago i found a really big wasp nest, and it still had wasps in it about to hatch. So i wanted to make jewelry out of them. Finally after a year i took a swing at resigning bugs, and i have fell head over heels. It is the funnest thing, and the out come is remarkable. I just borrowed a friends dremel, so these bad boys are going to make beautiful jewelry.
If you have been thing about using resign, I say go for it you will not be disappointed. And the awesome things is that you can put anything into it.

100th Post

Hallelujah! I finally made it to my 100th post! I am over the moon right now. It might sound small because some people have blogs that create 100 post in 2 months, but this is such a celebration for me. I'm pretty sure i would have been on a lot more post then 100, but last year i decided that i wanted to start fresh so i deleted a lot of post. I remember deleting them and feeling so heart broken after about 10, and felt that i was trying to delete days. Even if they weren't perfect they were mine.

When I started my blog in 2010 i went into it thinking that i wanted to make friends and show people my d.i.y's and the way i dress. But after hours of reading blogs i wanted to do i the way these "successful bloggers" were doing it. I felt discouraged and thought i had to be a certain type of blogger. I struggled with that for a while. But after years of blogging, even if i didn't feel worthy and some of my stuff wasn't perfect, I grew and figured out that i was able to say what i wanted to say and be because this is my space.

I'm celebrating the years that changed me, growth, not giving up, and finally doing things how i want to!

Animal filled cups

Happy Tuesday!
One of my assignments for my ceramic class was to choose a set of things such as cups or something figurative. Basically something that you wanted to focus on for the rest of the semester. At this point of the semester i wasn't great at either, but i knew i liked both. So seen cups on mod-cloth and on other places where they had mugs with little critters in them. I thought i would take a stab at it and i went for it.

I made the cup on the wheel, and sculpted the little critters. The plates i made last minute just cause i had extra clay, and i just used slabs of clay. The glazes i used on the cups was some from school, just a white, and the blue glaze called red rum. It is amazing because you can either get a red or a pretty blue or some times spots of purple. But when you put it into an electric kiln you get this. The animals and the plates have different under glazes on them, and sprayed with a clear glaze.

I'm over the moon with how they came out. My favorite would have to be the giraffe and the bunny. They were the ones i put the most detail and loved on them the longest.

Happy Friday!

These are some of my art pages i did in May. Iv'e been really getting into it, and its been a lot of fun. I like the fact that my "diary" is colorful and vague but to the point.

This weeks project

Hello inter-web land! So it is officially my summer vacation and i'm so stinkin' stocked. I have been off of school for about two weeks, and I was doing was sleeping and watching so much Netflix. It was really fun well it lasted. But we must proceed!

 Before i got out of school i took everything off my wall and painted my room WHITE (which i have never done). So slowly i have been putting things back on my wall so that things aren't so plan. One of the projects that i took on was above my bed i wanted a collage of paintings, drawings, notes, and stuff by me from the top to the bottom. So this week i want to finish what i started. TO me its like my own art journal but on my wall. I used to do this all the time but with magazine stuff and things from the internet, but never with my own stuff I just throw it away. This will be fun!

Tile project

Happy Monday!

I may have mentioned that I am in a ceramic class for college. Going into it I had no high hopes of it making a big impact on me, but it has changed EVERYTHING. My first semester was a begging class. It taught all the fundamentals and just getting use to the clay. This semester I am taking and intermediate class and it is mixed with people that just came from the begging class, and people that have been doing it for a couple of semesters. It is the best. Everyone learns off each other and they are all willing to showing how to do something if you are having a problem with it.

One of our assignments this semester was to make a 12 by 12 tile that represented us or something we liked or believe in. It couldn't be someone else's work or words. For my tile I wanted to do something that represented me. Oh my goodness it took me soooo long to figure out what the heck would represent me. SO i thought "well since my mind is always everywhere anyways, I'll do a head opening up with random stuff coming out of it." This was from the begging stages of it. There are tons more stuff on it now, but since its the end of the year stuff is everywhere. I will get more pictures and show the end result.

Art journal

Recently I start a art journal, I had worked on it one day but wasn't really sure what I wanted to do or how to. I is my first one, so I was looking for inspiration and things. But the other night when I had a really rough sleepless night ideas and thoughts started trickling in.



I decided just to give myself free rein and no limits to what it should look like.  I wanted a life journal, kind of like a diary, but with sketches, and quotes or what not.  There are pages that are blank with one solid color. I have been trying to work on it every other day or so. I love how it brings out creativity that I didn't even know I had. Heehee

Quote me happy

Lately  I have really been obsessed with quotes of all cheesy sizes and what not.  So when I get down I think of all these corny quotes to keep me running and stop being scared of what ever is in my way.  This past couple of weeks has not been any different. So in my crafting time all these came up and a bit of courage to run again also.
